- Materials:
-
- Clean 1-litre pop bottle
- Stanley knife
- 2 wooden spoons
- Small eye screw
- Length of garden twine for hanging
- Instructions:
-
- Cut two star shaped slits on opposite sides of the bottle, about ten centimetres (4 inches) from the bottom. Do the same at 90 degress to the first two holes, so you end up with four holes on the four points of a cross.
- Push one wooden spoon handle first through one hole and out the opposite side, so that the bowl of the spoon is pushing against the bottle side pointing upwards. Repeat with the other spoon and the remaining two holes.
- Remove the bottle cap and twist a small eye screw into the top of it for hanging.
- Finally, fill your feeder with birdseed, recap it, and use a length of twine to hang it from a tree.
