A Contemporary London Garden garden design for a couple in Kent. They need to create a garden on a reasonably low budget, so were looking for inspiration that won’t cost the earth. The garden has remained unchanged for a number of years. Whilst the couple expected to move in the future, they couldn’t foresee this happening for a few years and wanted to make the most of the exterior space for themselves and their child.

Earth Designs suggested a large area of lawn bordered on the side nearest the house by a rendered block raised bed, and on other sides by flush level planting beds.

A decking walkway laid with differently coloured stained deck boards for added interest leads the user down the path a seating area in the bottom right hand corner of the garden. This seating area features a raised planter and bench seating.

In the nook of the dogleg path is a water feature, clearly visible from the clients house, designed to disguise the noise from a nearby road
