Contemporary London Garden Design Diary Week 25

The plants and lawn have now gone in at the Contemporary London Garden garden build in Woodford, making the project almost complete. The lighting will be installed early next week, leaving only the fibreglass planters to install and plant up once they arrive.

Matt and the rest of the team have now nearly completed the landscaping in East London. The site in Highams Park has a bit of paving, some woodwork, planting and lighting left to do. Matt hopes to have the entire project finished within the next couple of weeks.

Katrina has nearly finished the plans for the garden design in Hackney. The site has a complex shape and has a number of practical issues to be addressed. Katrina just needs to finalise the planting and lighting plans after which the presentation will be ready to be sent to the printers in preparation for presentation to the client next week.

Katrina has taken another booking for her Google Sketchup for Garden Designers course. Katrina will tutor the student at his location, rather than at our office.

The client from our recently finished Holloway North London garden build has written us a testimonial for our portfolio update. He has also kindly sent us a series of photos he has taken daily during the past 5 months of the build that shows the (sometimes slow!) progress of this modern garden design in North London.  “We had stared out at our large but uninspiring garden for over 5 years so we were very excited to finally sort it out! We could not have had more inclement winter during the construction but the Earth Designs team battled it out. The design is lovely – crisp and bright and we are thrilled with the result. I still pause on the landing to stare and wonder why we waited so long!”

Enquiries have been coming in thick and fast, including someone looking for a garden designer in Mile End, another looking for a landscaper in Hampstead plus a request for garden design in Hertfordshire. Katrina is busy filling her diary with garden design consultations.
