Essex Garden Design Diary: Week 17 2014
Katrina has been busy teaching her ‘Can you teach me to be creative?’ course this week with very successful results. Jane, the student, has decided on a career change later in life and approached Katrina for some one-to-one tuition to get her started. The course she undertook was the ‘So you can teach me to be Creative?’ which is one of a series of short courses for garden designers ran by Katrina on a one to one basis. Jane thoroughly enjoyed the course and said ‘Thank you for an inspirational, informative and thoroughly enjoyable couple of days at the V&A last week.’
Things are looking promising for us to contract the build for our Essex Garden Design project based in Loughton. The client is liaising with his builder to work out the scheduling and determine who will undertake what areas of work. He is due to get back to us in the next few weeks.
The garden build in Leytonstone is picking up pace. All the walls are now built and Matt is beginning to apply the render.
Matt has returned to a garden we completed last year to replace a large silver birch which was damaged in the storms earlier this year. The client is very happy with his new tree.
We took on a new design project for a young Italian family looking for a garden designer in Leytonstone. They have lived in their property for a few years, slowly undertaking renovations to the interior, and are now turning their attentions to the garden. They have been fans of Earth Designs work for a number of years and were thrilled to be able to engage our services to design their garden. Their requirements are for a family space in which to entertain and cook, which must include a play area for their young daughter. Matt is due to carry out the site survey next week.
