Breezing in with a breeze

Grow a Friendly Space

Breeze House have been creating thatched or shingle roofed timber structures for gardens for over 15 years. Whilst they are not ideal for contemporary, modern or minimalist gardens, they make the perfect hideaway in a jungle themed space or Tropical Garden . Taking their inspiration from traditional African buildings, and using natural materials that have been ethically and sustainably sourced, Breeze House structures come in a variety of styles and sizes to suit every client.

Although they are not as versatile as some of the buildings we have featured in the garden shed (they would not work as a gym or as a garden office for instance), they do create the perfect atmosphere for intimate summer dining long into the evening and are sure to be a talking point wherever they are placed.

To quote Breeze House themselves:

“The founder of the Breeze House Company started the business in 1995. Inspired originally by the timber and thatched shelters he saw whilst visiting Nigeria, he was struck by the usefulness of the native open sided structures used for both shade from the sun and the perfect cover from heavy rainfall.

This Garden Buildings Distinctive in shape and style, differing from any outside leisure building then in existence in the UK, he set about designing something similar from the humble beginnings of his own garage. Although not a carpenter by trade, woodworking runs in his family, with both his father and grandfather keen carpenters and cabinetmakers….

… Each Breeze House, inspired by the African continent, is designed to not only look stunning but to be practical too, then individually hand-made by our team of skilled craftsmen in our workshop situated alongside the River Churnet in the mill town of Leek, Staffordshire. Every Breeze House is unique, no two can be absolutely identical, relying on the artistic interpretation of each carpenter.”
