Earth Designs operate a complete design and build service. The steps in our design and build processes are as follows:
1. INITIAL CONSULTATION
This involves a site visit by our designer to view the space and discuss the client’s requirements. During the consultation the designer will present the client with a variety of ideas and images, discuss budget parameters, and draw up a simple concept plan..
2. DESIGN PRESENTATION
Should the client wish to proceed from the initial consultation, the next stage is the design package. The designer will draw up a detailed scale plan and hand-drawn 3D visualisation based on the initial concept drawing, and a bound presentation document will be prepared including a detailed quote and proposal of work, description of the proposed design, mood images and planting scheme. Once the design package is complete (this usually takes between 14 – 28 days) the designer will revisit the client to present the design. At this stage the client has the opportunity to ask questions about the design, make minor changes, and discuss the breakdown of the quote and proposal of work. It is common after the presentation for amendments, reductions or additions to be made to the quote and proposal, in consultation with the client. This is usually conducted via email and phone.
3. PROJECT CONSTRUCTION
Once the quote and proposal has been agreed with the client, contracts will be prepared and signed by the client and Earth Designs. In most circumstances there will be a minimum of 4 weeks between contract signing and the build commencing, and scheduling will be dependent on Earth Designs availability and payment by the client of a deposit of 50% of the total build cost. The duration of a build will vary depending on the size and complexity of the project and other variables such as weather and material availability. 4. AFTERCARE SERVICE
All clients that undergo a garden build will receive aftercare instructions detailing individual plant care. We are also happy to source on-going garden products and services at our client’s request..
