London Garden Design Diary – Week 26

Grow a Friendly Space

Katrina has been busy this week winning designs. . She went to visit a client looking for a garden designer in Hackney.They have lived in their property for several years and have got a lot of use from the garden so far, despite it being a little neglected. They have quite a long wish list for the space including a dining table, lounge area, accommodating a trampoline, a kids playhouse, lawn as well as a storage area for cushions and tumble dryer.After discussing the sketch with her husband, the client decided to proceed with the design package.

Matt returned to a couple of previous sites to undertake some small repairs. Our garden design in Harrow had a faulty light and our landscape in Kilburn needed some minor adjustments to a few deck boards. As a result of Matt’s visit to the Kilburn garden, the client’s son has asked Earth Designs to design his own garden in Willesden Green.

Matt started our new garden build in Hackney. There is quite a large amount of earthworks to undertake, with 4 skips worth of rubble and soil removed so far…

Katrina also won a garden design contract for a commercial planting scheme in Romford. The client owns an office block on a busy street in Romford and they are looking to include a landscape scheme to make the property more desirable as they try and rent out the top floor of the building.

One of Katrina past students, Joan Mulvenna from Garden Design Manchester who undertook a short garden design course earlier this year, is exhibiting at Tatton Park next week. She has designed the .fusion-body .fusion-builder-column-1{width:100% !important;margin-top : 0px;margin-bottom : 0px;}.fusion-builder-column-1 > .fusion-column-wrapper {padding-top : 0px !important;padding-right : 0px !important;margin-right : 1.92%;padding-bottom : 0px !important;padding-left : 0px !important;margin-left : 1.92%;}@media only screen and (max-width:1024px) {.fusion-body .fusion-builder-column-1{width:100% !important;}.fusion-builder-column-1 > .fusion-column-wrapper {margin-right : 1.92%;margin-left : 1.92%;}}@media only screen and (max-width:640px) {.fusion-body .fusion-builder-column-1{width:100% !important;}.fusion-builder-column-1 > .fusion-column-wrapper {margin-right : 1.92%;margin-left : 1.92%;}}
