Light your path – funky portable lamps

If you have ever tried to work out how to light a garden you’ll know it needs some careful thought. Unlike interiors, there are practical limitations to garden design lighting: you can’t light from above, you are dealing with infinite night sky, and obviously things need to be safe. That is why these funky portable floor lamps from Dutch company Bloom really caught my eye.

The lamp can be used everywhere as it does not require a cable or a plug and operates from a rechargeable L-ION battery. I like the total flexibility this funky lamp offers – you can move it freely around your garden and illuminate whatever you need to quickly, simply, and above all, stylishly.
