London Garden Design Diary – Week 43

Grow a Friendly Space

Garden Design Diary Week 45

  • On Saturday Katrina from out London Based Garden Design carried out a consultation for a garden design in Lewisham, South London. The clients had sloping garden which they need to find a way to level to make the space more usable for their family. They have already made a start into making a level lawn, however the integrity of the retaining wall could be in question and this maybe something that the couple need to review before works on the rest of the garden can commence.

  • Matt continues to battle with the weather to complete our garden build in Hackney. The delivery of the plants from Europe was delayed and are now due to be collected next Wednesday. Whilst the Yorkstone paving is was due to be delivered Tuesday, this was postponed due to illness. Matt is hoping to have the site completed within the next week.

  • Several suggestions were mailed to prospective clients in Brentwood. They wish to increase the size of their driveway and re-shape their front lawn. They have a mature tree in their front garden which will need to be considered in any re-design.

  • The garden design in Harrow completed earlier in the year has now been photographed by Marcus Harpur and we are delighted with the results. You can view them on our Earth Designs Facebook page.

  • Michelle Guy from Real Homes enquired for more images use for their February edition of Real homes. She wishes to feature our Roof garden in east London.

  • Katrina is preparing for her trip to consult for a garden design in Romania next week. The client has sent over images of the interior and exterior of their property and Kat is busy coming up with suggestions for linking the two spaces.
