Our London Garden Design studio has been on location in Leigh-on-Sea this week…

Garden Design London diary

So, whilst site has shut down for the Olympics things have progressed away from the office in Leigh-on-Sea. Matt decided to suspend work on the Hackney site as its close proximity to the main Olympic venue was likely to make not only his teams journey to site difficult, but also threatened to make getting deliveries to site fairly tricky. So Katrina and Matt migrated down to Leigh-on-Sea for a staycation with Katrina’s parents. Matt had a bit of a busmans holiday as he spent the time installing a new patio for them!

Katrina continued to keep the wheels of design in motion with the 4 projects we are currently working on.

The commercial planting scheme for Romford is now complete – we are just awaiting a quote for irrigation and conformation of the planting costs. Katrina is due to present to the client in a couple of weeks.

The Hackney garden design is also completed and the presentation boards are at the printers. Katrina is due to present to the client in a couple of weeks when they return from their holidays. As soon as the client has seen the project the full presentation will be posted on our blog in our garden design presentations section.

Katrina is currently working on the Highams Park garden design which features quite a complex decorative railway sleeper wall design. Something Earth Designs has not executed before. The hard landscaping of the project is now designed and Katrina needs to put the finishing touches to the soft landscaping and lighting design. The presentation will then be fully compiled along with the budget ready to send to the printers.

The landscaping in Holloway is still being worked on and is in the early stages. The survey has been done and the sketch is drawn, but the presentation and Garden design in sketch up needs completing, before Matt can start the landscaping quote.

Katrina has had another short garden design course booked in. The student wishes to complete a Garden design course for Google Sketch Up. If you would like to book any short course in please get in touch for details.
