London Garden Design Inspirations Concept Sketch: La Corbusier

London Garden Design Concept Sketch: La Corbusier

This design classic allows this London garden designer to reflect the strong lines of the tubular steel featuring in the chair, with the soft rounded corners of the cushions. The tubular steel forms a pathway which helps divide the garden up into separate areas separating lawn from patio and flower bed.

Another Garden Design Inspirations is a granite sett terrace directly by the house sees this London garden design combine a London courtyard feel to the space with the addition of a swathe of lawn adding a block of green to the space. Pleached trees help add definition to the strong lines as well as height and privacy from being overlooked if required. The pathway follows down the garden, constructed out of limestone pavers passing by a long rectangular raised bed constructed from rendered blocks. This is to be filled with a block of lavender planting. Nestled into this bed is a brick built-in bench which then follows through onto the floor giving the sense of rhythm and unity to the garden.

The pathway encircles a raised pond which is lined with black butyl liner so as to be reflective. This pond is accessible by the pathway from all sides and is bounded by two flush level beds on each side and a second patio at the back. This patio is again made from limestone pavers and has an added advantage of the sense of enclosure with the bounding of beds and boundary. This sun terrace offers a second area for relaxation and recreation.
