London Urban Garden Design Diary Week 20

garden design

WOTB wk20 2013

Works on the garden build in east London are progressing with construction of the railway sleeper walls and furniture being. Once the raised bed and series of sleeper platforms has been installed, the paving and finishing can then be completed. The planters, plants and storage unit have all been ordered and are due to arrive the week after next.

Matt and the team returned to finish the planting in Essex on Monday. The client had requested a simple facelift for her garden. Which included a minor re-shape of the lawn, a lick of paint for the garage wall, sanding and staining an existing wooden bench, plus some new planting. The spruce up by Earth Designs delivered a fresh new space to a delighted client.

Katrina went to visit a young family looking for a garden design in east London.  They had an issue with foxes living under their existing decking and large trees causing a lot of shade in the space. Katrina helped them come up with a concept to suit all their needs, including a sandpit/ball pool for the younger members and a lounging area for the adults. Matt is due to complete the site survey next week, so we can start work on the design in the studio.

Another garden postal design has been requested. Katrina has emailed the client the questionnaire for completion.

A client for whom we produced a garden design in Romania has recommended Katrina to a friend. He is looking to get an interior designer in place for a property he is hoping to buy later in the year. He spoke to Katrina this week with regarding a possible visit later in the year.
