The design follows a cottage courtyard theme.  The existing decking will remain. A large 3.6m sandstone paved circle will be installed in the centre of the place, with an Acer planted in the middle to create a focal point.  Sandstone slab stepping stones will be installed into a gravel mulch around the central patio. Each of the four corners of the main section of the client’s garden will feature a railway sleeper raised bed 1400mm square x 600mm high. To the left of the space, a laser cut patterned Cor-Ten (weathering) steel screen will provide a decorative divide between the client’s garden and the one beyond. Opposite this on the right-hand side will be timber arbour/seat. The right-hand side of the space will also benefit from new fences (client’s section of the garden only) and painted in Cuprinol Garden Shades ‘Wild Eucalyptus’ (a classic grey green shade.) Planting in the garden will be soft and blousy in a cottage theme.  Evergreens will form the backbone and provide winter interest, while seasonal perennials will give blooms and scent in the summer. Creeping ground cover plants will also weave their way across the gravel in-between the paving slabs to soften the hard landscaping.
