Urban Garden Design London Diary - Week 22

Matt’s landscaping in Holloway is nearing completion and he is hoping to be able to sign it off with the client next week.

The East London garden builder team went to start work on a new landscaping project in Woodford. The client is expecting a baby in July so we are trying to complete this one asap. The weather again is not on our side, so holes were dug for fence posts but we could not concrete them in!

Katrina has finished the garden design for Enfield. The bold curves and strong planting scheme are all ready for Matt to start costing up and writing the scope of works.

Katrina visited a client looking for a garden designer in Wanstead. He had a small garden and was looking for some solutions to make a usable family friendly space for everyone to enjoy. Katrina suggested a fixed bench seating unit that converted to a day bed as well as a children’s area down the side of the house which was a fairly unusable space at the moment.

Another consultation for a garden designer in Winchmore Hill saw Katrina draw a retro garden for a client with a strong design interior. She wanted to do the build with help from her father and was looking for some ideas to transform her urban London garden. Katrina’s design made reference to her interior with a ‘gallery’ type space for the wide side return and with 2 lawns in the main area of the a garden. Soft blousey planting was to be juxtaposed alongside bold retro shapes and a circular flower arch would make good use of existing plants that were already established.

One of our postal garden design clients from last year kindly sent us through images of her garden as the build is happening. Raised beds, a lawn and a secluded patio area feature in the garden as well as a pool with a water blade. She has promised to keep us abreast of the progress of the garden as it develops.
