Victorian Front Garden Design

Grow a Friendly Space

Brief

This client would like a traditional design for their east London front garden to reflect the age of the property. They would like a Victorian tiled pathway and new front wall. The existing magnolia tree should remain to add some maturity to a year-round planting scheme.

Solution

A black and white geometric pathway from the road to front door. The centre of the garden will feature planting beds around grey stone effect porcelain paving edged with Victorian style rope edging. New front and left-hand side boundary walls will be constructed from reclaimed Yellow Stock bricks, with traditional style wrought iron railings installed to the top of the front wall between end pillars. A brick arch with new timber gate will be constructed to replace the existing gate. The simple planting scheme will be based on structural evergreens mixed with soft grasses and flowering perennials.
