Working your way up the ladder
If this isn’t the ultimate Garden Office, we really don’t know what is. Castles Cary offer a fabulous range of treehouses suitable for kids of all ages. While not as large as the Alnwick Treehouse in Northumberland, the treehouses are certainly impressive and are versatile enough to be used for just about anything, from an outdoor dining room to a fun and funky den.
Castles Cary offer a design service, so you can have a unique treehouse individually tailored to your specific circumstances. The structures are constructed on-site, usually in a few weeks, using pressure treated timbers, so you can be guaranteed that they will last for years to come. They can be insulated, fitted with electricity or plumbing, glazed or heated with wood burning stove, making them useable throughout the year. The construction methods will not damage the tree – in fact, these amazing houses can be constructed without a tree at all!
To quote the Castles Cary website:
“Everybody dreams of having a tree house in their garden. Treehouses, wooden playhouses, cubby houses and tree forts are such fun and can be used in so many different ways. Your tree-house can be your retreat, your garden home office, your place for entertaining or the treehouse can be a wooden playhouse or cubby house just for the children. There is no limit as to what you can build a tree house for, though the imagination normally runs well ahead of the treehouse budget.
Tree-houses [Link to Alnwick treehouse posting] and tree forts can be built solely within a huge tree, they can be partially supported by tree trunks or totally free standing. The tree house can be any height off the ground and finished in so many different ways. The fun of having a wooden playhouse or tree house is all the associated activity that goes with it, the most popular being the fireman’s pole and the Burma rope bridge. “
