Bottle House California

Garden Buildings Bottle House California

It is not a recent idea to use bottles as a construction building, the Romans in fact were using this method of construction primarily to address issues of weight loading.  In more recent times Mr. Heineken considered producing bottlebricks to reduce wastage of glass bottles.  Inspired by a holiday in the Carribean where bottles littered the beach Heineken commisioned Dutch architect John Habraken to create the WOBO, a brick that holds beer.

Architect Mike Reynolds is a current day pioneer of sustainable and economical Garden Buildings.  Coined by Mike Renyolds as Earthship Biotecture uses everyday items such as bottles, cans and tires.  Pictured below is a view from inside one of his constructions.
